Haimi 415 K
In a country where plastics were not introduced until the late 1950s, Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro designed the Haimi 415 K chair in 1967 in fibreglass and aluminium. While Finnish designers at the time focused more on the use of moulded birch plywood, Yrjö Kukkapuro wanted to experiment with new materials. For Haimi-Oy, he designed a collection of chairs that could be personalised by the user, who could choose from different seats (414, 415, 416, 417) and legs (A, P and K). The personalised combination of these elements gives the chair its name.
