Masters

Masters or the chair of the masters of design, published by Kartell, is the result of a collaboration in 2010 between the two famous designers Eugeni Quittlet and Philippe Starck. Its backrest, where solids and voids intermingle, is the bold stylistic synthesis of the cult chairs, Series 7 by Arne Jocobsen (1902-1971) of 1955, Tulip by Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) of 1957 and the Side Chair by Charles (1907-1978) and Ray (1912-1988) Eames of 1950. By using polypropylene, these two designers allowed these mythical chairs to interact with each other in a remarkably balanced way.
