Selene

In 1968 the Milanese designer Vico Magistretti, the author of the famous Eclisse lamp (1965), created Selene, a one-piece polyester and fibreglass chair. Magistretti, always in search of new materials and whose style is characterised by a search for simplicity, designed many timeless pieces. The Selene chair is one of Artemide's best-sellers. It shows technical ingenuity and a strong aesthetic sense. Its frame is worked in an S shape to make it stackable, very solid and monobloc.
